Perks
All participants will receiving the following perks as a benefit of registering and participating in the 2013 Grasslands Trail Runs:
- Support the Friends of the Grasslands. A portion of the funds generated will be donated to the Friends fo the Grasslands foundation. The foundation helps maintain preserve and improve the LBJ National Grasslands and it's resources.
- Post-race meal provided by Matador Meat & Wine.
- Technical event shirt functional for casual or athletic wear.
- Finisher's medal for all who complete the half-marathon and marathon distances.
- Finisher's belt buckle for all who complete the 50 mile event.
- Professional event timing provided by Event Data Solutions.
- A relatively flat runnable trail course. Texas weather may influence the participants subjective opinion of "runnable". This is a trail run.
- Texas weather guaranteed.
- More perks to be secured.
Opportunities
All participants will have a chance to win one of many door prizes after runners begin finishing the days events. Must be present to win door-prizes.
*Cash awards and entry to the 2014 Grasslands for the top three male and female finishers in the marathon and 50 mile trail runs.
*Cash awards and entry to the 2014 Grasslands for the overall masters male and female finishers in the marathon and 50 mile trail runs.
Should a masters trail runner** finish in the top 3 they will receive both the overall prize and the masters prize.
Entry to the 2014 Grasslands Trail Runs will be awarded as a prize to the top three male and female finishers in the half marathon trail run.

**A masters trail runner is defined as a runner age 40 or older on race day.
